for eclipserst

you said that you have nos in your car to spool the turbo and reduce the lag can you explain lag to me and the whole concept of getting rid of it and how much nos you use and when you use it

Re: for eclipserst

Just to add to your questions:
Wasn't nitrous originally made for spooling the turbo up faster?

Re: for eclipserst

He doesn't have NOS, he uses zex. Lag or 'turbo lag' is lack of acceleration waiting for the turbo to spool up by exhaust gasses. At low RPM the turbine wheel won't be spinning that fast since the engine isn't expelling exhaust as fast as later. Some people use n2o to get the system going so they don't have to wait.

Re: Re: for eclipserst

just to aliviate confusion, NOS and ZEX are brand names of N2O producers. and N2O is not the greatest idea for turbo guy's to run *unless* you posess intamite knowledge of tuning.

exactly!!! great point, i still have a lot to learn about when running it, everyday i tune and practice using the nitrous with the turbo, it gets spendy to have to fill the bottle ($40 for a refil) but i am close to getting it perfect for my set up. the biggest thing i have to worry about is when to cut the spray since i am spraying a 100 shot it gets tricky... its a lot easier to tune with smaller shots!

also when choosing your nitrous set up for your car, if you have a turbo or on a stock motor you want to go with a wet kit (mixes nitrous + fuel when entering the intake)... if you have a NA motor and have upgrades to the fuel system is the only way i would run a dry system, (just nitrous is sprayed into the intake)

Re: for eclipserst

You can set your boost controller at 30psi, it doesn't mean you will see over 15psi driving around.
