when fuel is put into throttle body, my v6 runs and dies. Fuel pump works. Ignition module tested ok at aap. How to check injectors?

You might try pulling the breather off and give it some gas using the throttle cable. Hold the throttle for a little while and watch your injectors to make sure the keep working. I put a used holley throttle body on my truck when I put a new motor in and was having problems. My injectors seemed to work fine at idle and if I just rev it quickly but if I held the throttle open for a little while one of the injector would completely stop working.

Re: '90 runs but w/o injetors working

Fuel poured in throttle body lets truck run good until gas runs dry. Fuel pump and fuel filter were replaced. What else to try? Anyone help?

Re: '90 runs but w/o injetors working

found out today that injectors are getting 12 volts with key on, pump fuse is not getting voltage and relay no volts also. But truck still will run good until gas poured into throttle body runs out. I bypassed and ran the fuel pump through the 'g' connector under the dash, hear it running while doing the gas into the throttle body thing and still it dies out. And the pump is new, the fuel filter is new and installed correctly and I get good pressure when checked at the incoming line to the t.b. What next? Please help me win this curious fight!

FOUND AND FIXED IT!!! Stupid me forgot that when changing the fuel pump, the pump fuse was wired direct and a wire at the firewall whch volts the relay was shorted inside the jacket. Now I have to figure why it is running HOT!
