Tray Drifting?

Have any of you heard or seen this? I saw a video of VTECATLANTA at Andretti Speed Lab, and it was like all integras and civics feigning appearance of sliding, slight drifting, and donuts. Hmmm..new use for fast food trays?

You should see the vid of a WRX white smoking all four tires and being pushed on the spot in circles by several guys.
Don't ask me where to get the vid.. it was on some other forum a long time ago (talking year, year and a half or so) so I don't know where to find it at.

u use trays to do donuts, toss em under the back tires and dump it in first and away u go, just dont do it too long or it'll burn thru and grip the ground

I thought the point was also to put on the e-brake, so the back tires dont spin. hmm.. must be different techniques.

Re: Tray Drifting?

I think that's what he means (rear tires), but eventually you are giong to wear down the bottom of the tray on the pavement and your tires will start grabbing.

Re: Tray Drifting?

Ask Josh (91lxdreamer)...I do believe about a month or two he went out in his car and after a few spins he burnt through the trays.

Re: Tray Drifting?

You know the trays you get your food on at McDonalds, Jack In The Box, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc...

Yeah I did it too, it was so much fun, but you burn through the trays really fast, I think I might have to snag a few trays on the way down to the meet, we can have a traying contest or something...lol

I believe if you spray water on the ground, it'll save the tray a bit for a good 5-10min of spinning. I wanna get a coke tray, those have best grip on the tires, and last a lot longer I'd imagine.
