95 F150 tranny problems?
My dad's 95 f150 seems to be having problems. It only has 45,000 miles on it but it's starting to have engine problems. Lately it's began shaking when climbing hills or accelerating (not very bad but noticible). It's almost like it's trying to decide if it needs to shift or not. I call it a stutter for lack of a better description.
Is it a transmission problem or just something that comes with old age fords? Or is it something else?

Re: 95 F150 tranny problems?
Most likly a bad TPS sensor if the tranny is not shifting right. If it is shaking, probably a cylender not firing 100 percent, try running some sea foam through it and do a full tune up. plugs wires, fuel filter and air filter see if you have the same thing. As for the tranny, 2 things control when the tranny shifts, the TPS sensor and the speedo sensor. Is your speedometer working right?

The speedometer is working fine. We didn't think of the cylindar misfiring. We'll check that out. Thanks.
