Installing upgrades.

This might sound like a dumbass question, but I gotta ask it anyway. If I bought some upgrade off the web could I just go down to my local garage to have it installed? Some mods, I could probably do myself but something like, say, a turbo charger, I'd be crazy to attempt to put in myself given my competency level. (I was watching some car show on SpikeTV one Sunday morning and they were walking through the installation of a turbo charger on a Mustang ... the whole segment pretty much flew over my head ). I'd like to learn how to do some of the more non-trivial mods myself someday, but not on my primary vehicle.

Also, would any old garage do or should I try to take it to the Pontiac dealer if I can? I'm guessing the dealer would probably be best even though they'll probably rape my wallet -- however, I think the piece of mind that the job is Done Right(tm) is worth it.

Thanks.

Here is what you do.

Go buy a chiltons or haynes car manual at autozone.
Go to Sears, buy yourself a tool set(96 piece is a good starter set).

Do it yourself. what are you planning on doing? I've done most of the mods myself(except the current clutch....the hotel will not let me do it in the parking lot ) if you need any help/advice....let me know
