96 TA Drivers window won't move
My drivers window is stuck...luckly in the up position. But it will not move...even slaming the door or beating on the inside of the door with your fist while holding the button down. I can hear a faint click under the dash (I think) when I try to put it down. Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong? Is this the motor itself do you think? How hard is it to replace if that is what it is?
questions, questions!! sorry! Rob |

Mine did the same thing on my 97, got stuck 90% of the way up and wouldn't budge although I never heard a clicking sound... My problem was a dead motor. If you replace it get one from AutoZone not the dealer. The GM ones from the dealer have a 12month warranty where as the AZ ones are lifetime. Replacing the motor isn't too hard here's the guide that I used and it only took me about an hour or so to do. You might want to check the switch to make sure it's not what's wrong first.

Re: 96 TA Drivers window won't move
Thanks I took the door panel off and the guy that worked on my door skin forgot to plug the window motor in :-)
