Tires

Ok so since my camber was totaly fubar and the pair of falkens that looked find from the outside are cordbare on the inside I need some new tires and FAST. Enter Problem number one, price. Does anyone know where I can get some tires super cheap? best price I can find is just over $300 for a set of 4 mounted and balanced, and that's from Les Schwab. I really wanted some Potenza 950's, but those were like $750.

You could try checking out the Wheel & Tire forum. I was looking around there yesterday & there's a bunch of people selling tires. It's here:

Then again, you'd have to deal with shipping time... Are all four of your tires bad? Or just the front two? If it's just two I'd pick up a pair of less expensive 'get-by' tires until you find a complete set that you really want.

I don't like the idea of used tires. Aside from the fact that they don't come with a warranty, you really don't know what the other drivers have put them through. Did they run them with low air, did they get a flat and patch it themselves with a storebought patch kit, etc. Plus I prefer to do all 4 tires at a time, that way it's the same miles left on all the tires.

Try these...not a lot of marketing...but these are 'awesome' tires...

http://www.coopertire.com/us/en/passengerSegment.asp

I've had a set of winter's on the year (ST-2's) and I've passed 4x4's stuck in the snow. I'll be getting some coopers for summer too...

Just a suggestion...oh mine were $375 CDN installed and balanced.

Hope that helps...

Jason
