Looking into a 90 Supra

On the 7th of this month my 88 Celica GTS caught fire and was totaled. I'm looking into getting a 90 Supra. I deliver pizzas 6 to 8 hours a day and I'm wondering if the supra can handle well. From what I read in magazines they say it handles pretty good but I have a hard time believing any magazines these day. I would like the opinions of owners on turning characteristics, braking, weight distribution, and acceleration. My last serious road car was my 90 Grand Am with a QUAD4 under the hood with CAI, ported head, custom exhaust. I loved the way the FE3 suspension with it +30mm swaybars handle the turns. Will the 9o Supra come close to the 90 G/A because the 88 GTS was severely lacking in the handling department? I found one in fair condition for 1700 but would the supra be worth the time and money to fix up? BTW the dealership didn't know if it was a 89 or 90 model
