Re: door panel speakers??????

well, went to sound domain, didnt find any pics of speakers in the door panels of a third gen, but did find two pics, one of a third gen with the C5 corvette five spoke rims and another with torque thrust II's, so i can compair, those are the rims im trying to decide between. so a good post none the less

as far as it not working, that kinda sucks. how much extra room did you need to clear the window??? maybe i can rig up some sort of spacer to make it clear.

Re: door panel speakers??????

It is possible IROC.. anything is possible! When shoppin' for some 6.5's, find some that require the least mounting depth possible.. And if that isnt enough, you could always make like a ring out of fiberglass, metal, wood, etc..bout' 1/2" thick, and carpet, vinyl or paint it, to put behind the speaker to bring it out a bit.. Or you could get fancy and fiberglass an entire kind of box on the door, to bring the speaker right out and facing the driver.. then you could get dual 6.5's or whatever you want in there..
Ive used both methods, and they've turned out good! Looks real good if you wrap it in matching vinyl..
