1985 Park Avenue Fuel Pump Issue?

Is Changing A In Tank Fuel Pump A Real Chore Or Is It A Job For A Professional?..also Should I Hear A Wwhirll When The Key Is Turned On?

You should hear a whirr for 2 seconds when the ignition is
turned on. If not, check for power at fuel pump connector.
Changing the in tank fuel pump is not a bad job if you can get the tank straps to come off. Being an 85 vehicle, I suspect the strap bolts will be difficult to come off.
