Wink 80s or 90s

Hey all, was wondering about how much the M3's weigh...
Im either going to buy an 80's or a 90's..
I heard that the 90's weigh like 3k lbs.......thats crazy heavy
How much do the M3's weigh in the 80's...thinkin bout a 88(hoping they weigh A LOT less than the e36)
also whats the hp rating on the 80's M3?
Thanks

oh yeah 1 more thing..do u think a 90's and/or 80's M3 would be a good car fer drifting...i spent days trying to find a coupe that was lightweight and had power so i could get into drifting. I found the 240sx and had the money to convert it into a S14, but i live in california so it wasnt legal. Now the ONLY other coupe that i found that met some of the requirements i set ( some hp, FR layout, coupe, under 15k) was the M3.
I think the E36 weighs too much, but i may be wrong.
Can some1 help?
