Please HELP me
Hi i recently bought a sparmax compressor from the USA and since it was from teh usa i thought i'd use a volatge and plug convertor adaptor from 240v to 110v so i plug everythign in and everything works fine for a while then i run the compressor for a 10mins period and the convertor overloads and gives in how can i fix this can i buy a bigger convertor because i can't return the compressor all the way back to the usa
by the way the compressor's inputs is 11v adn 60hz thanks |

The amp draw on the compressor may be too great for the convertor, find out what the amp draw is and get a voltage convertor capable of handling it.

Is it a thermal cut out on the converter, or does it fuse it's self? Either way it sounds like the current draw is too high. Find out what the compressor draws (should be on the unit or in the manuals somewhere), and then try Maplins or the like, they should be able to sell you a transformer that can do the job.

Thanks guys i found out that the convertor is a 45 watt transformer and the compressor requires 75watt so i need a bigger compressor ill go down maplins in the morning and get 1 there well cheap there only a fiver compared to the 45watt 1 = £20 very strange !!
