Unhappy Questions.....HELP.......

Hi all,

I just got a 1991 Galant LS non turbo.

It didn't come with a manual and I don't know basically anything about it.

Can someone please answer the following questions for me?

1) What type of ATF fluid should I use.
2) What is the Econ/Power button do and when do I use it?
3) What kind of power steering fluid?
4) Is there any way to check the condition of the timing belt easily?
5) Anything I should especially be looking for in this car?

Any other info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

M Karns

Re: Questions.....HELP.......

OK im no expert but ill try my best..

1. Whatever is stated by Mitsu.. call the dealer and they would be able to tell you..
2. That button is kinda like the AC on and off button.. It turns on the condenser(sp?)
3. Regular one always worked for me..
4. By taking the cover that covers the cam gear sprocket and checking the tension. the belt should be pretty dam tight..
5. dont know much about the car, but maybe a good tune up like fuel filter, plugs, wire, cap, rotor, oil change, tranny flush, air filter, radiator flush..
