Question Headlight Sensor

I was going to buy a black of black projector headlights and matching bumper lights for my 2000 Silverado. I was wondering if my DTRL's would still go on and would my automatic headlight sensor would still work, and if not, how could I get them to work? Is the sensor located on the factory headlight? Please someone help me out.

Re: Headlight Sensor

if you look at the center of your dash next to the windshield, you will see a little black node. thats the sensor. aside from mismatching power levels, it shouldnt effect your sensor. put your hat on top and wait 10-14 secs. you see your headlights come on. on some models, its actually located on the rear view mirror.
