Tire recommendations!

Can anybody recommend a good set of tires for my 2001 Firebird T/A? I was driving in the rain the other day, and as I was making a turn, I almost spun out but the TCS kicked in and saved my ass. I think I need new summer tires but I don't know which ones to get. Also, winters around here can sometimes get pretty bad so it'd be nice if the tires would make good winter tires as well.

Thanks in advance for any info you all can give me!

1. don't hit the gas going around turns
2. learn how to drive w/o TCS

Just giving you crap man.

You want a good all around tire. Here ya go. www.Tirerack.com 400treadwear rating(tire will last a while) AA Traction A Temp(good tire)

I have these on my car...great in the rain, very good in the snow and awesome grip for an all around tire.

110/tire from tirerack

What are they you ask.......

Re: Tire recommendations!

Its Going To Be Hard To Find A Tire Good In Snow Asnd In Summer. Snow You Need Thick Tread Summer You Want A Nice Sticky Tire That Is Going To Take Turns Good And Be Able To Handle High Speeds. You Cant Really Get One Thats Good For Both Unless You Get The Stock Tires. Those Are 2 Totally Different Environments For Tires 2 Totally Different Choices

Thanks man ... those look good.

And to z06transam ... I see what you're saying. Do you (or anybody else) have any recommendations for good Winter tires and good Summer tires? Although I'll most likely go with DarkblueTA's recommendation since getting two sets of tires would probably be kind of pricey. However, I can't really make the call unless I can compare the price of getting one set of tires thats works OK in both Winter and Summer or get a set that works great in Winter and another that works great in the Summer (and then factor in the pros and cons).

Thanks!

No problem. I am really impressed with these tires and would recommend them to anyone in your position. no need to go out and get 2 sets of tires when these take care of them all. They are not the best tire in any catagory, but they are the best all around tire I could find and the price is just awesome.
