Im having a few problems with my pug 106 1.1XR.
A few weeks back, my fuel light was flickering on and off, it now stays on permanantly... anyone else have this problem? and knows how to fix it without spending a fortune?!! Also, i have a problem with my washer unit. The bottle appears to be leaking, i have fixed this by sealing where the pump fits into the bottle, however it takes ages for any washer fluid to come out of the jets... is the 106 fitted with non return valves in the washer lines? if not, would this solve the problem? Again, if you have also had this problem then any advive would be great!! Cheers, and happy motoring! Chris |

No they don't have non-return valves but the problem will be in the pipes or the jets themselves, the jets always block on old Peugeots.
The best way to solve this is firstly take off the rubber hose to the jets and operate the washer jets,if water comes out the hose you know the pump is working,(if not then your pump is faulty) -then i'd reccomend using compressed air if it's available to you with an airgun, sprayinginto the small holes in the jets allowing any debri to come out the larger side of the nozzle so as not to jam up the jet holes.Use a fine needle to adjust the spray direction afterwards. Has it got rear washers?if so you may have crossed up the hoses. Can't help you with the fuel light flickering sorry,do a google search -should help you out. |
