brake bias

i heard there is some sort of limiter on the rear brakes which makes for a decrease in the amount of power going to the rear. does anyone know if this is true and how to get rid of it or make a more even bias for the back brakes?

Re: brake bias

and you want this why?
so the rear tires lock up before the fronts and it causes your car to go into an uncontrollable spin?

Re: brake bias

If you want to lock up the rears just use your e-brake, it's much more controllable

Re: brake bias

I would play with your suspension before tampering with your brakes. Your brake system keeps the pressure stable all around so if you blow a brake line there is still pressure front to back to prevent spin out or no brakes at all. It also keeps the car straight when brakes are applied. That pressure is acheived via dual brake fluid chambers. The front brakes produce about 70% of the braking. If you tamper with your rears it will throw the car in a spin. Do yourself a favor and leave your brakes alone.

If you want hard cornering upgrade the suspension.
