does any boyd know new coming LIGHTNING HP
hey guys
i want to know what the new lightning coming out is it goin gto have 500 horsepower thats what i heard so far they want to challenge dodge. and i found out today that the ram srt-10 has a top speed of 154 mph. is that true

Last I heard, they were supposed to be using the same engine as the Ford GT, but with a different type of forced induction. Well, if that's true, then it possible that it will have more than 500hp similar to how the Ford GT will have 550hp instead of the original estimated 500.
They were also supposed to introduce a new system of storing up an amount of compressed cooled air that would be shot into the throttle body on demand that is said to give an instant 50hp boost if the added acceleration is needed. Don't know if they will pull through with that, but that's what they have developed.

The prototype has 500 so I'm thinking the actually prodcution run will be somewhere around 400. At least 400 that is.

That's weird that you would think that, since the prototype for the Ford GT was going to have 500hp, and it turned out the production version would have 550hp. It's supposed to be using the same engine, so logic would say it might follow the same trend, but ok, we'll stick to stereotype until we see how it will actually turn out.
