Red face Add a revell 2001 Corvette ZO6 to the pile

I just couldn't help myself!! i had to have it!!! after my skydive today i just felt like buying another model. so now i have to decide weather to do the M7 Preist Tank, the Mini Cooper Racing, or the Vette.
Opinions?? Pictures of your vette's if you have done this kit before??

i just realized somthing. The actual car has gunmetal rims and the model has just normal chrome. I am going to take a wild geuss and say that i can't paint the wheels, unless i strip off the chrome they sprayed on there. Please tell me i am wrong.

Well you could paint over the chrome but the paint will scratch off easier than a lotto ticket. To do it right you need to strip the wheels and prime and paint as usual.

Again CSC or nail polish will strip the chrome and undercoat off easily. Nail polish is actually a better solution in this case.

The full name of it is Castrol Super Clean. You can probably find it at Wal-Mart or K-Mart. The bottle I have is a spray bottle. It is probably by the cleaning supplies. I have heard that it will take off chrome, but have never tried it myself.

about the rims, common laundry bleach will remove the chrome but just spray some Testors Dull Coat on the chrome will make it more aluminum looking.
or Testors makes a Gunmetal Metalizer that would work too !

ya but if i spray any kind of paint on the chrome it will crack and peel very easly. So you say bleach will that it off?? i will cut a peice of the sprue off and test that along with nail polish remover.
