Re: Re: whats the HP for 69 camaro

It depends on which engine you want to know about.
They had several different engines in 69...

250 6 cyl
302 8 cyl
307 8 cyl
327 8 cyl
350 8 cyl
396 8 cyl
427 8 cyl

The 396 came in 3 different H.P. Ratings 325 hp 350 hp and 375 hp.

Re: Re: Re: whats the HP for 69 camaro

My bad I didn't see SS...

You had the choice 2 different engine choices with the SS.

350 or the 396

350 was the standard SS engine in 69 with 300 H.P.

396 with three hp ratings 325 hp, 350 hp, or 375 hp.
You could have even ordered the 375 hp engine with aluminum heads but I don't know if they produced anymore power.

Re: whats the HP for 69 camaro

yup yup, but still bad ass and why im building a 302 for my 89 IROC besides, they already answered his question about the SS, so it never hurts to bring up somethin new but i believe the rated power was 290hp, as for what it really made, 350 is what ive come to accept as close to reality. 390 certainly possible.

My friend's dad used to have a 68 Z/28.
He changed the heads, and some internals. Was running 11.5/1 compression and claimed to get around 500 hp.

Just something about wringing a V8 to 8500 rpm that scares me.
