Master Cylinder Leaking
My '99 GV master cylinder leaks where the spout meets the reservoir. Can this spout be replaced, removed and capped or repaired? The spout is and has always been loose. When the car is parked on an incline with the nose down, brake fluid will leak onto the driveway from the base of the spout. I have to keep a constant eye on the fluid level.

Re: Master Cylinder Leaking
It pops off. Drain it first, change the rubber O-ring on the bottom before you buy a new one just in case you don't have to...
Should be in stock at a dealer. (mine was) Slantsixness

Thanks! It pops straight up? I hate tugging on plastic.
Thanks again, Ray R. |

Pulled the spout and replaced it with the cap. O-Ring does not appear damaged. I'll go spoutless for a while and see if fluid level is stable.
Thanks again, Ray R. |

Re: Master Cylinder Leaking
It's just a pain to fill without the spout!
Should be ok like that though! Slantsixness
