Re: 350z vs 97' GSX

well i wasnt giving my opinion.....i am just going with what the facts are. According to http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html the 350z will win. I am sure there are many cases where the GSX will win, but i think the 03350z guy wanted recorded documents. So it all depends on the driver i guess.

My brother has a 350z and it seems to be a whole lot faster. Especially with 279 hp.

not only does it have more horsepower but is somewhat light 3220lbs. not too bad for a v6

Re: Re: 350z vs 97' GSX

i schmoked [with a pancake] a guy in a brand new convertable 350z from a roll of about low 2nd all the way to the top of 3rd... and you all know what i got...

now mabey he was a bad driver, but here was the story:

both sitting at a stop light and i was checking out his car, cuz the convert's just came out. you know, i got the top down, he got the top down... lol... anyways, my tires are as bald as that other stuff i like [you know, that stuff we all used to eat in HS/College? well you can figure that one out] so i'm in no mood to play. the light changes and i ease out and we are even thru the intersection. being the mnly man that i am, i burped the gas for a little boost and shifted, producing a nice BOV sound [even dumped it sounds sweeeet!]. i was still checking out his nice new ride and he decided that it was time to show me who was really the coolest guy on the street and picked the speed up just a bit then gunned it. i picked up his speed when he picked up speed cuz i'm not going to let the DSM rep get tarnished, and when he turned his head forward and gunned it i was right there with him. while the boost was on it's way up i hit the B-spec II to HI and it topped out at 17 psi. with a nice push i was gaining on him by about 1/2 a car and with a quick shift and a blow i was out in front till i let off, and he passed me with a wave [still doing 80+ on a regular street in the middle of the day]. i can only surmize that he was in a strange gear setting when he floored it [like he downshifted, while i was at 3000 rpm in 2nd and nicely set for a quick spool] and i just had the jump from there. but that day i beat that brand new 350z convertable
