Re: cars

I'd say its mainly where you're from. Where I'm from in KY, about all you see is the fox body 5-oh mustangs, current style GT Mustangs and any kind of F-body.

I mean mustangs with NOS and F-bodies with programmers/superchargers are a dime a dozen.

The tuner cars haven't caught on as much here (people still have them, but they are mainly just looks and no real performance mods, so I guess you could say riced out instead of tuners).

Re: cars

mainy imports, something that is cheap to get a hold of and easily tuned, turbo cars are easy to make fast b/c the turbos sys. is very restrivtive form the factory and by removing the restrictions you can see lots of hp gains,
couple good canidates,
eclipse/talon (gsx,gst)
golf 1.8t
rx-7 1st, 2nd,3rd gen
supra
civics with swaps, b18,h22 ect...
mazda miata..
integras,
3000gt
basically you can take any car and tune it to be fast if you know wat you are doing..

Re: cars

Integras and hondas here. Most of them are slow as hell, with 2 ft boeing rear wings and 18 inch chrome rims, but there's the occasional nice one... a very nice supercharged prelude, among others.

My honda may have less displacement than your coke bottle, but I'll race your coke bottle for $1000. Who says there's no replacement for displacement?

I've found 6 for sale in the last 3 months, that's not including the 5 or 6 on ebay...just the ones around here. But in central illinois, the big thing is F Bodies, classic muscle, and newer GT stangs. With a small contingent of true "tuners"

Re: cars

The golf GTI with the 1.8Turbo motor can be a very quick car. Getting them to 300hp is not unheard of on the stock turbo. Im starting to see alot of GTI tuners in CT now. Also the GTI golf comes in a VR6 model and that also has a lot of potential. Theirs a few 400+hp VR6s running around so watch out.

Re: cars

its kinda bad that most dsm has exhaust b/c they can easily see10hp gain form that alone.. i would be more then cautsious when approaching a dsm..

Re: cars

i'm not cautious about aproaching anycar, any turbo charged car easily gains nice hp numbers form small things like exhaust and even intake.
