Question 1988 Ignition control module

3.6L V6 1988 t-bird
I bought a control module without looking.

Turns out there's no module on the side of the distributor so it must use the Accel 49300. Problem is I can't locate the module to replace it, and boy does it need replacing?

Anyone tell me where to look.

Update:
OK it's neither! The distributor and coil actually match the TFI IV description in my Hayes for a 1988 t-bird, but there's no module on the side of the distributor. What I suspect is that a previous owner had a different engine installed so all bets are off on what year this power unit is. Where else do I look for an ignition module?

Ignition COntrol Module saga

Problem still existed so I took the car to a Ford Dealer as it was impacting my work.

So far he claims that the 'aftermarket' Ignition Control Module I installed is giving weak signals and he wants $300 to replace it. A $50 part that takes 5 minutes to change (I did it in that time once I found it).

I have told him to run the car 'til it fails and then try seeing what's causing the problem. Because I'm convinced they just tested it by starting it and putting the computer on without waiting for it to fail.

This is an official Ford Dealership.

Maybe it's time to see if Ford have a complaints process since I spelt out the problem when I left it there and he read it back to me.
