Yokohama Tires

Anyone running Yoko Geolanders on their Ram? What do you think about them? Really feed up with the wranglers.

LOL Wranglers are what I have. I don't really like them because they wear so fast.

A friend of mine put 315 sized geolanders on his 01 diesel. they turned out to be the biggest piles of crap he ever used. they were directional tread, and they wore out in less than 6 months. I will say, we have identical trucks, and he does not drive his hard at all.

I would recommend staying away from that model of tire, and going to something that lasts.

Thanks for the input. I'll never run directionals on any vehicle I have. Had them once. Looking at these.

That is what I was looking at. I talked to a friend of mine that works at tires plus and he told me to stay away from them. I got a set of firestone distinctions and I was iffy about the whole firestone thing. Hands down the best tire I have owned. Very quiet even at over 100mph. Very responsive. At 20,000 miles I haven't had any wear problems yet. They work great on snow and ice as well. Definately check them out.

I have a set of Goodyear Vectors. Anyone remember those? Best tire ever made, and is better than any tires yet to be made.

Goodyear, the used rubber company. man, I ran goodyears on a chevy once. that cured me. I also worked at a tire store for a while, and saw more wranglers come back flawed than any other brand in existence. But, that was my experience. I run BFG radial t/a's on my 2wd trucks, and BFG mud terrain t/a's on my 4x4s. I get good tread life out of them, decent traction, and for me, its go with what works.

On a side note, if you want a grippy winter tire, go with Avon Ranger ATs. they are siped to the nuts, and soft. you won't get the greatest life out of them, but they'll climb a tree if the bark would stay on.

Michelin.

Any truck tire they make lasts longer than any other tires I've had.
80K Mi on a set of tires, and they still pass Virginia's yearly safety inspection!

They're NOT cheap, but they outlast and outperform other tires 3 to 1!

Worth it to me.

geolanders are baddd only 45 k on mine had wrangler as got 100k no kiddin

I replaced mine with Toyo tires and I really like them. I went up to a bigger size, 285/75R-16's

I agree with the BFG suggestion. Went to Big10, got 'em cheaper than I could have at Wally World, and they're the Real thing. And on top of the not-so-bad price, the 30x9.5 AT's I have on my 4x2 get me the traction of a 4x4.
