they have different intake manifolds, it won't bolt up. The throttle body opens up to the top over the middle of the intake manifold, its not facing towards the radiator like it is on a 240sx

well couldnt you just switch the intake manifolds? it should bolt right up right? And even if it was like that you could just use different piping couldnt you?

yeah you can switch the manifold's and gain some high end HP, loose some low end torque.

Or you can just route the cold pipe from the intercooler or turbo directly to the truck's stock throttle body. If u didn't change the manifold a turbo kit for the 240sx KA usually has a cold pipe from the intercooler, this wouldn't bolt up together on a truck.

it could have been a SR powered truck, a lot of people swap them into those too.

Re: Truck engine? KA question

Excuse me! Sorry to intrude but i have a minor question?? My brother owns a 240SX 96. Most of the time, he drives it like it was stolen! heres the problem;

the car has an oil leak.(i think its from the crank retaner) could it be possible that it could be something else?? I had to change the alternator a few times now (3 to be exact... thank the lord for that 1 year warrenty!!!) It doesnt leak from the oil pan or from the valve cover.. I know its spattering down there somewere. If so ....damn its gonna be a tough job to replace.. Do any of you know how to replace it? Step by step would be very kind.... sorry to ask for so much but it would be kind of you to help me out..... THANK YOU...

Re: Truck engine? KA question

Check the front of the crankcase. The main seal on mine had a small leak.

start taking shit off and remeber how it goes back on LOL, or get a manual because most intricate things on cars have a specific way they come apart and get put back together.

wasn't yellinga t you just telling u the basic facts.

if u want to take something apart start doing it! lol

look what is connected to the part you want to take off and how its connected to the car, its really not that hard to work on cars, u can figure out most stuff just by looking at it. Now I wouldn't rebuild an engine in this manner but you get the idea. hopefully
