Angry shutting off

My 92 Astro van shuts off every now and then as I attempt to slow down ( slightly tapping the breaks). Sometimes I even lose my breaks and stearing. I recently had the fuel pump done and one person is telling me that the pump is no good while the other is saying that it is something electrical. Any ideas? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

Re: shutting off

If you are not getting any fault from the computer, chances are its electrical, check the fuse links behind the battery and the ignition switch in the steering column for burnt terminals.
