TCC solenoid unplugged

Pulled the plug on my '92 Grand Am's TCC solenoid so I can drive the car around town. Now the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light is on and off again. Is this normal?

Sorry if I posted twice... I'm learning.

If the vehicle has a 4 speed transmission, I'd suggest you replace the tcc solenoid as it will damage the transmission. As for the check engine light, scan the system to see if that is what is causing your light to come on. I doubt it, but I have been wrong before.
Good Luck.
