My newly purchased 99 accord ex

I just bought a 1999 accord EX 4 door off of my mother recently. It is in excellant condition. I was wondering which model vtec motor is in it for starters. I also would like to know which engine modifications to start with. Which are the best to get a solid start at turing this into aperformance street machine that is still a reliable every day driver.
