tt 300z too much trouble?

I really wanna buy a 90's twin turbo 300z, im obsessed with those cars, but a couple friends who know a lot about cars tell me they are too much trouble to own because they have too many problems and will cost me an arm and a leg in the long run. Can people who own twin turbo z's or know about them let me know whats up with this, if its true or not?

They are a pain to work on as there is little to no room to work on them. But as for many problems? I don't think so, it is just that when one those come up it is not a quick cheap fix, the issues that come up are from age mainly and how thay are treated. The biggest task is finding one that is in good shape and not abused.

I agree, when it comes to working under the hood its very crapmped and sometimes a pain but as for many problems with the Z its not ture, I've bought my Z at 120,000 miles in good condition in 21/2 years Ive driven it extremely hard and put and additional 75,000miles on it. The car has no problems except i had to replace the clutch 2 times and minor things such as belts and hoses which got worn out because of age.. Other then that its fine. The Z engine is not a problem engine like some people think and is reliable.

Re: tt 300z too much trouble?

it all depends on the car. but remember it a 14 year old car. shit is gonna break. you just gotta stay on top of it and treat it like the queen it is.
