97 Altima(manual) help

Does reving over 5k RPMs cause a head gasket to blow? (a friend advised me on this so I figured I'd bring it to the forums)

If you're constantly reving your engine at high RPMs then your bound to blow something .... but i dont think doing here and there would cause any real damage...
