Wiper Switch and coolant light

I have a 99 Ford Taurus....the wipers come on by themselves from time to time. When I turn the switch on and off they stop normally. But it is getting worse....also my low coolant light comes on even though there is plenty in the reservoir...any help?

Multifunction switch replacement in steering column (approx $88) will almost certainly fix the wiper problem.
