Steering Problems

I have a 95 extended cab z71 and it just doesn't steer well at all. It seems like I never have enough room to turn around or get into a parking spot. The steering wheel seems harder to turn than most also. my dad has the same year tahoe and it turns sharp and the steering wheel is easy to turn. Does anyone have any idea as to what the problem might be? Thanks for the help and great forums.

Question Steering Problems

Has your truck been lifted? Or has it had any suspension work done on it?

I have a 2" body lift with 305/70/16 A/T. I have had the same size tire on it since about 97. The body lift has only been on for a year.

Re: Steering Problems

check your air pressure inyour tires. The size alone will make steering more sluggish than stock tires but if your tires need air this increases the amount of surface area in contact with the pavement and increases effort as well. Also check for binding or rubbing in the wheel wells and the steering column, there may be issues with the body lift.
