Question 1985 F150 clutch

I can't push the clutch in far enough to allow me to change gears in my 85 F 150 without hitting the floor. how do I adjust the clutch.

Re: 1985 F150 clutch

i believe you have a hydraulic clutch, theres no adjustment but it's probably low on fluid due to a leak somewhere. did you top off the reservior? make sure you take out the rubber piece before adding fluid. replace whats leaking and bleed the system, then it should work fine.

Re: 1985 F150 clutch

I was told it was a hydrolic clutch. I will try that thanks for the info. Most of the garages around here wont tell a woman anything exept bring it in and we will fix it.
