Getting wheels painted by a body shop

I was told by a guy at a body shop that he can paint my wheels with a matillic base for me but i was wondring how well the paint would stand up on wheels. I wont to knowthings like if the would chip easy or maybe the heat from the breaks would mess with them. ?

I know it can be done, cause lots of the celebrities have it on their car, but I have no idea no long it lasts or how good it is, but im sure it's expensive.
