which model

Okay, iv'e been planning on buying a celica for a long time, and I finaly found a couple of canidates that look promising. For about 13,900 i can get a 2001 GT. (every option) or for about 400 more I can get a GTS (2001) 10k more miles. Which is the better deal, and which should I get. I want to make a few engine mods, but I'm not sure if I am willing to go as far as a turbo/supercharger. What would you get and why?

P.S. I looked through the forums for this thread, couldnt find it. So if it does exist, im sorry and give me the link to read it.

i would always go for the highest model that you can...10k more miles on a toyota is just breaking it in...no problem and i believe with the gts you get the vvti motor in it giving you a little bit more juice and there are just not very many of them around so i would go for that one!

Re: which model

the first place i’d start with is www.kbb.com/ to get a feel for what you should be paying

Celica GT and GT-S are two very different rides with varying potential

The GT-S has the VVTL-i (Variable Valve Timing and/with Lift Intelligence)

The argument is that the GT-S is a better vehicle to start with depending on your plans

GT = NA/Easier to upgrade to Forced Induction

GT-S = better platform and Forced Inductions Kits are available with more being built
