Re: prelude SH vs. rsx s

People need to realize that the Type SH is NOT the "best" Prelude out there. The Prelude SiR and the Type S are much more race worthy. The SiR will kill the RSX-S on the drag strip. And the Type S will kill the RSX-S on a rally course.

in a straight 1/4 drag.

the rsx-s should edge it out.

it would be a good race though, driver skill comes into play big time on this one.

i doubt that seriously .... ive raced preludes type sh and type s , i have also raced a couple of rsx type s's ... the ludes stay dead even with me but the rsx's pull back and forth with me untill the finally pull ahead by a little on top end ... back when my gsr was stock ...but thats just my experience

Re: prelude SH vs. rsx s

yeah both have 200-HP stock and i'm pretty sure the prelude has more Torque..I'm guessing not sure but because of the 2.2 Prelude and the 2.0 RSX...it's a Drivers Race...they both weight about the same (give or take pounds) for either i still don't belive the RSX can weight lighter then the Prelude but if u guess say so and i'm sure it's not lighter then any Teg or Civic the RSX.so I think it's a Drivers RACE!! (ha it's kinda of funny cause R belove Lude will always at least keep up with many CARS!!)

Re: prelude SH vs. rsx s

Prelude Type S's are not in the US. Nor are SiR's. Don't know how you raced one.

Type S's have 220hp and ATTS (making them better on an AutoX course) and SiR's also have 220hp but LSD instead of ATTS (making them better in the drag strip). And for the record, a standard h22a has a greater top end than a GSR.

Type SH, simply, blows for timeslips. Most people who want a drag car will get base or disable ATTS.

I think they were mistaken and meant the S Model. not the JDM TYPE S.

and I thought the SiR's only had 200 HP. maybe the site i'm looking at is wrong. although, i've seen the specs on a couple sites saying 200 HP.

yes the SiR and Type S would kill. but the thread called for SH vs. RSX-S. probably because the JDM ludes will never be seen here on regular occasions.

i think the Prelude would have an edge. it does weighs a little more...but not too much. a little weight reduction should take care of that. it also has more torque at lower RPM. and the max HP also comes at lower RPM.

Driver's race. they're both kickass cars

Re: prelude SH vs. rsx s

The Accord Wagon SiR's have 200hp; they have a VTEC h23a. And good call; I just don't like it when people compare the top models of other cars with the Type SH thinking that the SH is the top model for Preludes. There's more out there.

Re: prelude SH vs. rsx s

i've watched and been a part of about 20 races between prelude vtec and rsx-s the rsx-s has not lost except maybe twice and my guess its the driver. I like the prelude as much as anyone else but stock to stock im sorry to say it loses. Try putting a euro-r h22a in a prelude and then see who comes out on top though.
