350 vs. mustang 5.0
my friend just got a 5.0 for $3500 i think. well it game with headers and after market dual exuast, so i took a ride in it and i really dont know who would win. my Z has an INJEN cold air intake too.

If you listed every mod done to each car, the 350z would win.
Keeping in mind the 5.0's had different stock ratings many years and ranged from a low 150 to 225 horsepower, the 350z would still beat any of them in anything past 3000 RPM, which the vast majority of races do go (This is so hard for a Mustang fan to admit  ). BTW, would you happen to know the year of the 5.0? BTW, even though it may be unfair fo me to assume this, I am betting that it was not a cobra or other special run 5.0 for $3500. However, a 350z would still beat the vast majority of stock 5.0 cobras. A 5.0 Cobra R would be the only one to offer it real competition. I am also assuming that you mean in some sort of race, drag or otherwise. Considering this is my first post, I would like to take the time to say hello to everyone and let the builders know that I appreciate the construction of such a large automotive forum. Last 5.0 I had that had headers, off-road h-pipe, cat-back, pullies, and k+n filter, ran 14.6@96 mph, then I added 3.73 gears, and a fuel pressure regulater, and it ran 13.7@101. That was on very pos tires. So he is going to need a little more to beat you.
