i would go back and check everything , make sure the crank is lined up on the intake stroke , you might have it 180 out

Re: engine doesn't start after replacing timing belt
but i know i have it correct according to the haynes book, intake is on the left and exhaust is on the right, and suppose to be aligned with the head the surface of the cylinder head and the timing marks behing the cams line up as well. but when you say they are 180 off should i put the timing marks at oppsoites ends of each other?

check the crank and make sure it is lined up in the right spot , it sounds like you have the cams in the right spot but the crank might not be in the right spot

Re: engine doesn't start after replacing timing belt
checking the book it says the the timing mark should be on be 11 to 13 before the tdc. one the crankshaft i aligned the notch on the sprocket first then the timing mark on the pulley wheel is about 12 degree BTDC, man i'm stuck i don't know where the hell i'm messing up at, someone told me to check the tensioner but that seems to be fine
I'm frustrated |
