Flagstaff Trip(PICs) 56k beware 800x600

Ok here's a LINK to read up on the Cinder Hills area if interested. I didn't get a chance to take to many pics since I was pretty much on an ATV the whole time I was there. But I had a blast and if you live in AZ and haven't done this I highly reccomend you try it out.

Here's the pics.


10 miles outside of Flagstaff you can see some snow on top of the mountain.


John was moving so fast on his quad by the time I took the pic his wife was in the shot.


Just a big hole filled with cinders, in some places the cinders are 8 inches deep and pretty tough to ride throug on the quad without gettin stuck unless you have paddle tires. The grade of those hills are very decieving and tough to ride up.


Nother shot, this is near our campsite.


Shot of the campsite, not everyone showed up that was supposed to but we had a blast anyway.


Random shot of a kid flying by on his dirtbike. This is pretty far from our campsite in a large crater, there were old cars dumped here, I didn't get any shots of them though. They weren't that interesting.


Steve ahead of me, I had to stay back and eat dust since I had no idea where I was or where we were heading.




The Quad a was riding, a Polaris, very nice riding, automatic with reverse, the only way to travel in style.

Next few shots are just landscape shots, take notice some of the trails heading up the steep cones.










I can't belive people try and go up this mountain, it is almost straight up and down, you can't tell until you are right next to it.


Hope you enjoyed, I have no clue where the next trip will be but I'm working on it.
