12" bandpass question

I have a 12" bandpass box with a legacy (I know kinda crappy) sub that's being pushed by a 480 watt bridged XPLOD amp. I have a 92 acord (4dr) the question is I want to get the most bass out of my box. which way should I face the box (toward me or toward the back of the trunk.

Re: 12" bandpass question

face your box toward the trunk.........if they do, let one of your back seats down........it acts like a bigger port.......i have a 2001 civic with two memphis hpo 12"......it makes a big diff. cause i have a sealed box so i am only getting the air pushed off of the speaker faces.... if you can try it.you wont be dissappointed...........holla

Re: 12" bandpass question

the most effective spot for most ported enclosures is with the cone facing towards the back of the car, with the box at the back of the trunk... i would recommend dynamatting the trunk as well
