New Mods for a ford

i'm a newbie and Recently i have bought a taurus and love it.now i want to fix it up it is good shape inside and out, but my interior is red and i'm in the process of painting it and reuposertry the seats too. for my seats i was thinkin about taking off the clips that hold on the fabic, then clean and wash fabic and dye it. would this work? i was wondering if anyones know if i could do an engine swap? could i drop in a SHO engine?

Oh and for most of you newbies, i have learned alot from reading on the net, finding books, and mags. also sometimes you just have to rip your own car apart to figure out how everything go. i have painted some of my dash and recarpeted my back dash.

Sorry but the SHO motor won't drop right in, you'd have to completely swap subframes for this to work, basically for the time and money you would invest in transplanting the engine, not to mention the 5spd. (your auto just won't hold that power) you would be better off buying an SHO and reaping the benefits of the upgraded interior and factory ground effects that come with the car.
