Re: custom turbo manifold

are you making this yourself ? Be cautious when doing this ! You need to TIG weld this manifold not home made or midas brake shop MIG weld. What kind of steel are you using ? You dont want this manifold cracking or even blowing a weld on you.

Re: custom turbo manifold

your gonna want your turbo postioned at the base of the manifold to allow for maximum flow ! but im gonna assume that this is what your doing just at the bottom by where the 2nd runner is right ?? if that is the case then yeah, i dont see any problom with that, altho im not an expert on the older ludes.

well the setup would work for all cars its just i have the option of tilting the turbo which means tilting the t3 turbo flange which i dont want to do or move it toward the passenger side a little. i no it may mess up the flow but im not sure if it would mess it up that bad??

Re: custom turbo manifold

when it comes to forced induction every little bit helps ! why do you want to position it so oddly ? are you tryin to make room for a/c or something ? because its gonna be hella easier for plumping, exhaust and so forth if you had it planted verticle

Re: custom turbo manifold

something tells me that's a pretty crappy design, but we won't know until you get it done and post up about it. usually you want the turbo in the center some place.
