1987 voltage regulator location
I cannot find the voltage regulator in my 87 ranger. The auto dealer gave me a standard looking one that also matched the one pictured in my Chiltons. But I can't find it, is it possible it is in are on the alternator. 2.9l v6 automatic

most newwer vehicles including yours are in the alternator.i think they started futting them in the alternator around mid 70's
