Aoshima Gloria Gran-Turismo VIP - 85% complete!

Nearly finishe - built pretty much box-stock from Aoshima's Gloria GT-SV kit, this is my first Aoshima build and I'm reasonably impressed.

Kit went together well without any problems, except for me splitting 2 of the rims for the wheels due to sheer cack-handedness with the brittle plastic. Oh, plus I forgot to fill an injector sink mark on one door mirror.
The matt chrome rims on the left of the car are the stock items, the chromed out mofo's on the right of the car are borrowed from the Carson GT Accord wagon purely for the pics.

Paint is Halfords Vauxhall Midnight black, several coats with no sanding inbetween, then a straight thick coat of Tamiya Clear. No polishing yet and it's already pretty shiny!

Just need to attach the exhaust, lamps & grille, number plates and pop in the interior and she's basically done. Pretty pleased considering it's been about 5 years since I even attempted a model.

Thanks, I was worried the metal flakes might be too large, but it doesn't look too bad in the flesh.

IT's being a pain in the arse - a catalogue of disasters including me leaving it outside to dry and then going on holiday meant I came back to a totally trashed body wedged in a bloody hedge
So, I still have the chassis and everything, might order another kit or just the body from Tamiya/HLJ depending on the price.
In the meantime I have 2 Fujimi S13's nearing completion you might like :-)

supaman, I am keeping the matt rims that came with the kit, as I need the others for my Accord
