anyone here on 11:1 daily, stock ecu also

I was just wondering what is the compression people on here have gotten in their build up, and still running off the stock ecu on supreme with no problems.

I finally got my B20 up and running a while ago, and it is running JE 11:1's. I ran it on 92 octane for about 20 miles(some of you might know why so few miles) and havent run it since, I am getting my tranny case repaired in a day or two and will put it in my civic, and I am at a point where I have to sell one of my vehicles, I would like to keep the civic cuz It is already more fun and I know will be alot more fun to drive after the swap than my truck, but it is also worth alot more if I were to sell it instead of the truck, but I dont wanna sell the truck and then have the civic break down soon after cuz I cracked a sleeve cause of detonation or something. I am runnign it off of the stock ECU, and when it was cold and I first started it up, both times from cold it would idle up and down, up and down many times until it would drop farther each time and not rev as hgih each time and finally settle down to a normal idle of 600 or 700, somewhere in there, and idle fine the rest of the drive, and after starting from hot it would idle right away. I didnt get around to check vaccum lines or anything but could high compression be the cause of the unsteady idle at first.

so anyone on here running similarly hgih cr and been so for a while on stock ecu/supreme.

Isn't the B20 out of a CR-V?

I planned to run 12.5:1 on 93 here obviously HIGHLY tuned...

I was going to build an LS VTEC (I have the entire bottom end with JE 12.5:1s and Eagle rods etc etc sitting in my living room) but now I am not so sure I want to mod my Si anymore.

I ran .25MM over CTR pistons in a GSR with a ported stock head, skunk2 stage 2 cams, a victorx intake and hondata S200. Ran like a dream on 91 octane, compression checked in at 12.1:1. Hondata isn't that expensive, I recommend running it with any setup with more compression/cams.

yes it is, and the s200 isnt too expensive, 295 or something I think, but then have to get it tuned, or spend the money on all the dataloggers,etc... to tune it yourself. but my 11.1 is far from your 12.1:1 so I might be able to get by on supreme, i think shells is 93 octane,. not sure. maybe ill just throw in a bottle of octane booster with each tank for insurance, might raise oit to 93.5 octane.
or would it be a waste of money everytime I fill up, Ive heard a few times octane booster is crap that doesnt do anything.

What cams do you have? Stock? The cams lift an dduration ahev a direct effect on the motor's C/R. The more lift and duration you have the lower the dynamic C/R will become.

yep, just the stock LS cams. I went to split my tranny case from the bellhousing the other day so I could pull the gears and have the crack in the case welded up, but one of the bumps on the bottom of the trans where it poped out for a bolt from case to bell got shoved up a bit, so when I went to pull it, it comes apart almost 2 inches then wont split anymore cuz something in there has to pass the opening which isnt big enough anymore is what it seems to be. so now it is gonna be fixed strictly by JBweld which I think will work cuz that is some tough stuff, but it is near the front mount, well not really a mount but that thing that goes under the frame rail, at leeats the part that goes under my frame rail, all 4 rubber limnks broke in the wreck wso there wont be any resisntance right there anyways so the JBweld should hold. IM just hoping the dinged case wont make the tranny inoperable. it didn make an aweful noise when I wenyt to drive it after the wreck, but turned out the rim was busted touching the contol arm and the axle was messed up so hopefully the noise came from there. I am gonna try just shifting it onto all the gears and play with the axles Il pop in and the input shaft and see igf everything spins smooth in all gears which I really hope it does, Ive been too busy with work to really start either project, the truck or the car.

i dont know the specs of my cams of hand, but its not possible for low lift/duration cams to increase dynamic cr over the static cr right? and do you have any guess on what is my dynamic cr?
