2004 Mini Cooper (Automatic) what to get to make it faster...

Any advice on what to get to make it go a lot faster? I have the regular Mini cooper, not the S. I saved a few thousand dollars and don't have to use a manual, so I am happy.

Any help on what to do with the saved $ to make the automatic a lot faster, please help. Thanks!!

Shoulda got a super charger on it when you bought it. You could always go buy one and install it and all.

Question Manual

One u dont need to make your car fast if u dont have a manual just because u are a horrible person for that.

You where smart about not getting a S and saving some money super charges just dont work to well on 4 bangers just because they aslo take some of your HP to run them turbos are way more eficent to run on a 4 banger.

i would say spend about 2 grand on a turbo kit that gives u about 35% hp gain at about 6psi and and then get a new coil new plugs and wires cold air intake and a good high flow exhaust so about 2800 total and ya shoud be running somewhere close to like 180-190 hp and its not bad on your engine at all and u can burn most fags in there v6 mustangs and shit

AUTOMATICS ARE GAY... but oh well

You still shoulda got the super charger. Then get a turbo kit to go with it. Ive seen one of those before, wasnt bad but he had some money into it. You could get a new intake. I belive K7N makes a typhoon intake bolt on system for it. Get some high grade plug wires to get a stronger better spark. Some new springs to lower the car down forr better cournering and handeling. New exaust system. Hey you could always rice it up and put a 100 shot of NOS into it.

hi, i am in a similar situation (except with the 2005 mini cooper). the advice is to get a turbocharger. i have looked all over the internet, where do you get one? who sells them? and how is installation? (any guess) thx very much, in advance.

I realize it's after the fact since you have a 2004 but my wife just received her 2005 S which for 2005 has the Automatic and it's Great.
There is a tiny bit of lag once and a while in regular drive mode but when in Sport mode shifting manually it is really great.

I'm sure some people still would like something faster but we specifically waited to order a 2005 S because of the newly available automatic with the S option and the fact that we didn't like the lack of performance with the 2004 automatic cooper model not having the super charger.
Just some info for thought.
