ASR and ABS question
Well today i went out to do a test run just to see if i could still race like i used since i haven't had a good race in a while. Well i took the asr off to clean the tires i pulled up to the line and let it rip at about 1200 rpms well it shifted into 2nd (A4) and spun the wheels but it also made this noise well i finished the run and got back on the high way i pushed the asr button but the light wouldn't come off i looked at the dash and my ABS INOP light was on. I got to the house turned the car off then on again and the light was still on. I was pissed so i peeled when i left and suddenly the light came off. It was weird does any one know what happened?

Re: ASR and ABS question
eh...... maybe damaged a speed sensor????? or confused the ABS module, if the front tires arent moving, and the back ones are spinning, it dosnt know why, cuz it wants to see all tires moving the same speed. as for why peeling turned the light off again. ya got me

Re: ASR and ABS question
^^
once in my sunbird, i started to drive away from work and my check engine, and antilock and shit liek that all came on. all the lights. then only the left front brake actually worked, and it just locked up. i almost died. i pulled it over asap, shut the car off. thought the computer was fried. poped teh hood, disconected battery cable's, remeber a friend said it would reset the computer, and it worked fine. god damn computer cars, so confusing.
