Thumbs up Strut tower brace for 2002 Alero

So I was just kinda poking around the net today for some aftermarket parts for my Silver Bullet (eventhough I'm a pretty much stock guy) when I came across a set of front and rear strut tower braces They come in red and black (rears only come in black). For the set they are $199.99 and for only the front it's $119. I found them at partsformycar.com which only have parts for the Alero, Grand Am and a few other GM vehicles.

Anyway, if you want, check them out and let me know what you think. I would especially like to hear from anyone who has made any suspension mods to thier Alero.

BTW I have a 2002 Alero GL1 V6 with stock suspension.

Re: Strut tower brace for 2002 Alero

Well I ordered the front strut tower brace. I had to get it in red because the black was out of stock. I only ordered the front one because for the rears, I would have had to pull back the carpet in the trunk, which I didn't want to do. I paid $119.99, which includes shipping, handling, and tax. I plan to get it installed by either Midas or Minekee(sp?). The insturctions seem simple, but I would much rather have someone else to blame if something funky happens. Once she's in, I'll let you know how the "Silver Bullet" performs.

I have both rear and front stb's as well as being lowered on intrax springs
cornering improves drastically with the stb
they're worth every penny you paid for them

Do you think that I should go ahead and order the rear as well, or is there not much difference between having the rears and not?

Well I slaped the front on...its awesome! There is zero body roll around corners and it makes my daily driving a blast!

P.S. Do you have any pics of your Alero with the lowering springs? I'd like to see it if you do.
