Hybrid Intakes

Has anyone found any of the AEM hybrid intakes for sale yet? I really want one now. If anyone has found one, let me know where, thanks.

Yeah, AEM is making CAIs for swapped Hondas. I have a 94 hatch with an ITR swap.

You know, there are other options than AEM's Hybrid intakes...people have been sticking CAI on swapped honda's long before AEM made these. However, I understand why they decided to sell "hybrid intakes"...many everyday people with swaps have no clue as to what will fit on what motor in what engine bay, and a "hybrid intake" solves the problem of "what do I put in" for these people.
As for where you can find it for sale...

http://www.aempower.com/

there's the AEM website, look up the phone number and call them. If they won't sell direct to you, I am sure they will direct you to a place that will.

Lower-end Civics have a metal plate where the intake would normally route on say an Si. So, instead of cutting out that plate and buying a regular Si intake, AEM made larger Si-sized tubing and routed it the same way a DX one would go - around that metal plate.

OMFG....what a crock of shit. Introducing a product that didn't even need to be mnade, and getting recognition for it? Fuck the import world.

LOL...I didn't say I liked the product...I said SCC called it on the the 10 best products of SEMA...I didn't say I thought that, lol. As I said in a post before that, people have been sticking CAI's on hybirds long before AEM introduced the product this year...I guess they saw an opertunity to make $$ and took it...and by the looks of it, it worked. I agree though, I wouldn't buy one...I've had an CAI on my swapped car for years. It didn't need to be made, you're right. But you know what they say...if it will sell....
